Managerial merry go-round claims 2 more names

First longford then meath and now 2 more counties are in search of a new bainisteoir for the county's senior gaelic footballers.

Pat Roe has tendered his resignation in the wake of the Faithful County's 18 point home defeat against Down in Saturday's first round qualifying match.

And following the one point defeat to Kildare on Saturday evening in the 1st Rd of the All-Ireland Qualifiers Donal Keogan has resigned as Cavan Senior team manager after two years.

In a statement the Cavan County Board, thanked Donal for his hard work and commitment to the post of manager over that two year period. " A very passionate Cavan man, Donal done his utmost to bring Cavan forward over his period in charge and only for some very narrow defeats the Cavan story may have been different. The County Board would also like to thank Conal Sheridan, team trainer and selectors Phelim Plunkett and Thomas Jackson and the entire backroom team for their hard work over the two years. We wish Donal the very best in the future and we know that he will have a role to play in Cavan football going forward."

Colm O' Rourke has ruled himself out of the running for the Meath Senior Football job in succession to Colm Coyle. No doubt the Royal County All Ireland winner is aware that Ger Loughnane is finding it more difficult to put a good game together on the sideline that the arduous task of telling others how to do it from the comfort of the Sunday Game couch.

Noel Lane and Mattie Murphy are already been talked about as potential successors to Ger. Are they ever going to get it together in the city of the tribes?
