Can Fermanagh make history by winning the Ulster title for the first time or will Armagh win their seventh crown in ten seasons? The search for the answer will pack St.Tiernach’s Park, Clones on Sunday for what promises to be a great contest.
Fermanagh last appeared in the Ulster final in 1982 where they lost to Armagh by three points. It was only Fermanagh’s fourth ever appearance in the Ulster final, having also lost in 1945 (to Cavan), 1935 (to Cavan) and 1914 (to Monaghan).
Armagh will be appearing in the Ulster final for the 35th time. having won
13 of their previous 34 attempts. If Armagh win they will join Monaghan in joint second place on the Ulster honours table with 14 titles. Cavan lead the way with 38 titles.
